Overview

After finishing his PhD on the topic of BOLD fMRI, Bas van Niftrik is currently working as a post-doc in the BOLD-CVR translational neurovascular imaging team. For the CRPP, this team provides a novel imaging test, i.e. BOLD fMRI-based cerebrovascular reactivity measurements (BOLD-CVR), that is being used as one of the parameters to study hemodynamic impairment in acute stroke patients, and to select those patients that are in need for acute surgical revascularization.
